My “real” costume wasn’t ready yet, so I had to throw something together at the last second for Friday’s Halloween festivities. I dug through the costume box and found a fantastic wig and a black dress I’ve been dying to wear for ages, and after a few ideas were thrown around (Dead Scarlett O’Hara? Helena Bonham Carter in every Tim Burton film?), it was decided that I’d go as Dracula’s victim, Mina. Problem: I had no neck wounds, stores were closed, and ink/lipstick/etc. simply weren’t working.

So then I had the awesome idea that my friend V should just give me a hickey. She did a good job, no?

Resourceful, right? Only it’s been, like, 5 days. And the hickey just keeps getting… darker.

Also, nobody seemed to get it. But maybe that’s because as it got later, Mina morphed into something a little more… Daft Punk.
